Qlik Basics: Data load editor, data limiter, and metadata demo video

by | Aug 8, 2017

When it comes to loading data, Qlik Sense has a built in SQL based data load editor. From here you have all the flexibility you’d get with traditional SQL scripting. Editing data volume is also easy with Qlik. Simply use the debug console and use the Limited Load feature.
For capturing metadata, Qlik Sense allows you to add descriptions and common terms which can be used to search for items later. Additional metadata such as data source, data sets accessed, execution time, and usernames and logs which can all be accessed through the package monitoring apps that come with Qlik. To help access metadata, Qlik adds search functionality at almost every step of the way.
Here is a quick video to help demonstrate these features in Qlik Sense Enterprise. Enjoy!
