What is the RapidMiner Knowledge Base?

The RapidMiner Knowledge Base is part of the RapidMiner community and found in the Resources tab on their website. It’s got a range of articles written by RapidMiner staff. Some of the articles are responses to questions RapidMiner customers have asked, others are more like blog posts on the analytics topics RapidMiner likes to talk about.

Who is the Knowledge Base for?

The Knowledge Base is for people who use RapidMiner and have questions. Do you want to know how to manually install extensions for RapidMiner Studio? The RapidMiner Studio Knowledge Base has you covered. Curious about how RapidMiner and R work together? The Knowledge Base can help you out. Need to find out where the plugins for RapidMiner Studio are? You can find the answer on the Knowledge Base.

The Knowledge Base is also very good if you want to see what support there is for RapidMiner before jumping in and buying it.

How do you use it?

The Knowledge Base works by either Search or Browse. If you have a specific question, put it into the search box at the top of the screen select your filters and away you go. The filters allow you to define the following:

  • Where you are searching on the RapidMiner site
  • The author of the articles you want to read
  • How far back in time you want the
  • The type of post; Forum or Knowledge Base
  • Whether the post contains images or attachments

The other option is to browse the articles under the following headings:

Is it any good?

As always, that depends on what you are after. If you are looking for an answer to your RapidMiner question or want to have a look around for some background on RapidMiner then it will serve you well.

Have you used the RapidMiner Knowledge Base? What did you think? Tell us in the comments.
